A DevOps workflow for Drupal on cloud.gov

Presenters: peterburkholdergsa

How do you find a long-term hosting environment for your federal Drupal site, and keep it maintained and secure? cloud.gov is the platform-as-a-service for public service, fully built on open-source tools, and provides a fast path to gaining and keeping your Authority-to-Operate.

In this session we'll see how our partners use docker-compose for local development, GitHub for reviewing all code and configuration changes, and then parallel staging and production environments in Cloud Foundry for testing and zero-downtime releases and upgrades.

We'll also cover how a high-level PaaS takes care of most security and compliance concerns except for how you choose to run Drupal.

All tools and code shown can be used in the free cloud.gov sandbox accounts available to federal users (or in other free Cloud Foundry offerings).
